For Wednesday, please work on one of the post-reading tasks we have developed ... or feel free to do any other post-reading activity of your choice:
Post-Reading Activities:
- Give the book another title and explain why you would chose that title
- Fill in of gaps in the text
- Re-writing the text from a different point of view (person, location, time)
- Remodelling of the text into another text type
- Development of alternatives to the content
- Change the ending
- Developing the characters
- Continue the story: make clear that the progress of the story is to be developed compellingly from what has been read so far (writing style etc.)
- Recapitulate central issues
- Discussions, e.g. hot chairing (>film?!)
- Interview with a fictitious character
- Composing poems, reviews, diary entries, letter to the author, television report, film scripts, short stories
- Comment on central issues / questions the book raises
- Research for background information on the book and on the author
- Write a book review
- Write an epitaph
- Write a blurb for the book
